The bespoke 24,050 sq ft development has been delivered for Star Micronics GB Ltd, a leading supplier of CNC sliding head and fixed head lathe solutions, who have relocated from their previous premises at Raynesway to support their continued growth.
Developed by Infinity Park Derby LLP and constructed by Wilten, the project was completed ahead of schedule and follows the successful delivery of the adjacent BOC facility by the same delivery team. Stephen George & Partners were the appointed architect, with engineering services provided by BWB and employer’s agent services by KAM, the facility has been tailored to meet Star Micronics’ specific operational requirements, while embracing modern sustainability standards.
The new building comprises a high-specification workshop, two-storey office accommodation, and a dedicated training showroom, alongside extensive external works including car parking and HGV access to support operational efficiency.
The building incorporates a range of environmental features, including an EPC A rating, photovoltaic solar panels, air source heat pumps, and electric vehicle charging. These elements reflect a strong commitment by Star Micronics GB Ltd towards renewable energy, more sustainable transport options, and enhanced energy efficiency.
